Is it to much a Stereotype of the Left vs. Right in the US?

Nothing leftist about the game... both factions are capitalist, it's around some kind of fucked up Corporate Feudal world... a bunch of companies claiming islands and warring with each other over resources. Kinda fun game though, played the demo, can't expect much else from an Anno game which is essentially centred around markets and class systems.

I have not played the demo, could you give more detail about your point of view for the rest of us.

Well, there's not much more to give, you don't get to play the Eco faction in the demo so I'm not 100% sure on how deep capitalism is rooted in them. Still, i've read that the Tycoons and the Eco's are just different sections of the same faction, working for and doing the dirty work of the several corporations that exist in the game world.

Also does it mean that each "Ark" is a corporation?

Yeah, each corporation has an Ark I think, some may have a few Arks. I think the Arks are kind of like the 'Orient' factions from the older Anno games... you find them, trade with them, do missions for them, etc etc. The demo was short, I can't remember much dialogue about the Arks if there was any, but this is what I have gathered.

So, but I could not play the demo as it take forever to load, and the program never show up to launch. But in case some one else ask could you give more example so people now it a capitlist version of Tropico.
