God I fucking hate that man with a passion. He's scum, more so than the people whose problems he exploits for entertainment. The whole talk show thing is pretty disgusting in itself, in that it turns people's lives into some kind of freakshow. We shouldn't be laughing at how addiction has fucked up a family or whatever. Jeremy Kyle is something else though. He is the most judgemental, right-wing piece of shit who seems to think he's better than everyone else. I can imagine he'd have a lot to say about my life, but fuck his opinions. The only reason nobody's battered him yet is because he hides behind his security team.

Jerry Springer was the original of these shows as far as I know. It got popular over here so they started making replicas. But there's a huge difference between Jeremy Kyle and it's predecessors where the hosts would try to be kind of nice to people while looking down their noses at the plebs. Jeremy Kyle tends to act like a Presbyterian preacher verbally assaulting people in a disgustingly patronizing and provocative way.

That's my only criticism of the people on the show. That they would actually agree to be subjected to the humiliation. Although I have friends who say they would love to be on it, I just don't understand why. 15 minutes of fame perhaps? idk maybe they just feel hopelessly lost. I was in court this morning and in the waiting room where everyone has to wait for their case to be heard they had the Jeremy Kyle show on and I was looking round the room and people were smiling and laughing at it, I thought it was quite ironic seeing as they'd all turned up for their court cases wearing tracksuits.

I did quite a bit of film work as a tube driver. Lot of hanging about but we were well fed and watered. Got very friendly with all the people on the set. Over the week I got to know everyone quite well. The extras some retired others single parents or starting out on career, were paid by the day. Two girls I got very friendly with and when there was a break in filming they would come out of the tunnel upstairs for a breather. Very posh and refined and both taking law degrees with very beautiful command of English language. Their family root was Ghana. I suppose a couple of months later, I put on TV to get the news and on came the tale end of the Kyle show. There were my two pals, with one or two others with the cameras locked on, giving it large...talk to the hand etc. Screaming at some bozo who had just opened a DNA envelope. What confused me at first was they were blasting away in JAMAICAN PATOIS. DRESSED IN TRACK SUITS....oh well...£80 a day.....not a bad mornings work. Though I must admit I do a better Jamaican accent.

Suppose Bread+ Circus pretty much covers it.....and of course just one more way to say the working class is rubbish...lacking in culture education and any sort of C H A R M....!! ....CHAVS is the latest term....have they invented any more insulting terms since I have been away?...CHAVS...wiki it if unfamiliar....

The entire point of these shows is simply to keep people entertained with the struggles of other people. So they can say "well at least I am not that bad off." Causing division within the working class.

Also, yes it makes the working class look like a bunch of idiots and those watching will think to themselves "What a bunch of savages those poor people are. Good thing they don't live in our neighborhood. It is their fault they are so bad off, because they don't know how to act."
