I need to stop talking about politics when I'm wasted

Me too. I do that all the time when I drink.

Hahaha, people don't mess with me. If they did they would get their ass kicked.
(or I would curl up in a ball)

Besides, you would be surprised how receptive people are to it even when I explain the shit intoxicated.

Same here, actually. I was expecting Georgia to be super-reactionary ... but I've found even the people I assume to be 'publican country-folk will listen to the appeals for less (no) government in their lives and an equal footing in the world without any burden placed upon them ... It showed me how I shouldn't assume anything about southern people - they aren't stupid and most people I meet aren't racist. It's the stupid ones that seem to be everywhere because they're fucking loudmouthed bastards.

I hate people who talk politics while drunk. Unless its politics I agree with, then you're fine.

Speaking of which, last time I got drunk there was a Misean at the party, he knew I was a commie and wanted to debate me all night, I told him to fuck off most of the night, but I eventually got so drunk that sober thought vanished and me and the kid went at it. Thankfully, his sober friends noticed and went "damn it, **** is at it again" and took him home. I spent the rest of the night declaring my love for everyone there and attempting to stand.

That sounds like a recipe for jail

Although I would probably go. Not alone. Gotta roll with a crew. Failing that, at least 2-deep. Maybe I'm just paranoid.

I imagine most of the attendees would be walking around, conversing with bandanas over their faces.

I often end up talking about politics when drunk or otherwise intoxicated... But a lot of the people I hang out with seem to do that too, so it's cool. I do have a bit of a tendency to get into a good rant though sometimes. :o

Yeah I had a white board behind me I was drawing on to demonstrate how Capital becomes more and more centralized and that the working class suffers and will continue to suffer until we smash capitalism...

All I needed was "Farewell of Slavianka" playing in the background to make it complete...lol

Like I said though, I was shitfaced and talking to like 6 other people who were just drunk enough to run out and start playing guerrilla if it came to that...

Me too. I talk politics and listen to folk punk music and kick back some beers. It always leads to heated discussions unless it's a comrade who has similiar views. Frustrating though cause currently a good friend of mine who's into anarchism tends to butt heads with me. The thing that's frustrating is we butt heads on... Capitalism.. Yes.. Capitalism! I tell him why Capitalism is exploitative and why i and other anarchists and marxists are inherently against it. He tries to justify it by saying as an anarchist shouldn't it be someone's right if they want to setup a business to do so. I said sure they can do that but not in an anarchist commune, and even if some greedy pig did that do you really think people would want to go back to being wage slaves? Good luck trying to find willing employees once they have emancipation.. It's just frustrating he doesn't seem to understand why it's something that needs to be completely abolished.

Oh man I'm ridiculous:

I remember one time I was explaining the tendicial rate of profit to fall and I got so excited because it was one of those things where you finally grasp the concept, like really grasp it, whilst explaining it to someone else. I ended up flipping an ashtray when I was imitating the profit margin with my hand.

Another time I got really emotional about the deaths of Luxemburg and Liebknecht and the whole reaction against communists and I started to cry.

While it may be debatable whether it's smart or not, I always talk about politics, including when I'm drunk. It has gotten me a few punches to the face, but hey, at least you know you've won an argument then. :)

Politics are my favorite thing to discuss and rant about whilst drunk hence my participation here at Revleft. As for in the real world, same thing, idc, if anything, given my class and station in life I feel I have every right to be pissed and fuck anyone who gets angry or upset with me.
