Hi. On the 10th of november, i'm going to a student demo against the rise of tuition fee. I was wondering if i should bring a red flag or another flag associated with the left.
Should i bring a gas mask, ski glasses, etc, just in case if it turns out into a riot?
Any tips? It's my first demo by the way.

I wouldn't bring any of that shit to my first demo. I'd just go and see what there's to see and talk to people who seem cool or have interesting things to say.

Don't be that guy, just wear whatever the average student at your school might wear to this sort of event.

I'm going to be at this demo too. We are going to be a group of comrades (students and non-students) with red flags and red scarves.
For the rest, I'm going to send you a private message.
In general, I don't really understand why people suggest that we should not bring red flags. For sure there some exception - like spontaneous demos after the death of somebody killed by a cop or something like this - but in demos that are really political and organized, I don't understand why we should'nt...

well red flags are not a big deal. usually its a good way to start a political conversation besides jsut the issues of tuition. i would recommend not over doing it though. depending on how many people show up, id say 1 red flag per 50 (roughly) people.
as for riot gear. dont bring it. you wont need it im 100% sure. if you feel the need to though, just bring a small medical bag with ibuprofin some bandages gauze and water. in case anyone gets a headache or a cut or anything like that.
