I figured I would stick this here as Lockean libertarianism is an opposing ideology... but I must ask: Does anyone know where I can find an excellent criticism of Locke's theory of property from a socialist perspective?

Actually, the labor theory of property supports socialism. Since, capitalism takes away the working individual's labor, and then it gives it to a capitalist. So, capitalism takes away the natural right that a working individual has to own his property.

In socialism(At least in Liberal Socialism and other mutualist ideologies), individuals own their property via either one-man businesses or democratic cooperatives that share the fruits of the workers' labor equally through free association.

Well for one thing it doesn't explain the actual development of property rights, and it is also a weak moral defense of property rights.

I've talked about this before (http://pagananarchist.wordpress.com/2011/10/17/locke-the-socialist-applying-lockean-principles-to-anarchism/)

I was just wondering about individual criticisms of the the damn thing.

Um.

Ethical Absolutism is dumb?

We're going to destroy private property whether they deem it immoral or not?

Read Locke and write it yourself. Then compare it to other scholars' work.

The best one to date is Proudhon's What is Property? Google it.
