Young Communist League UK

Hello,

I'm wondering if I should join the YCL in the UK. Has anyone had any experience with the YCL in the UK, or is in/has been it. Is it worth joining? Are better alternatives?

Also, I am not going to beat around the bush here - would being upper middle-class prejudice my application to the YCL or looked down upon with suspicion when I would meet other members?

I would have thought there were other communist youth wings for under 18s if thats all your looking for. Is the CPB/YCL merely the first one you've come across? Most communist parties will accept anyone over about 14, even if they don't have a youth wing.

Here in the UK, political groups don't exercise the same internationalism as European political groups. Make sure your group has associations with EU communists, fellow revolutionary.
