The Moderators and Admin can move this were ever they think that it fit best. But I posted this here so the most people can see it.

Let's look at to World maps. One is the " Country foreign exchange reserves minus external debt" and the other is the " World Map Index of perception of corruption 2010"

Country foreign exchange reserves minus external debt

World Map Index of perception of corruption 2010

What you should of noted is that many of the nations higher in debt have a lower perception of corruption. Nations like the US and there allies are under massive debt, but have paint themselfs as being non corrupt.

My findings from these two world maps, is that nations in debt, paint those who have money in the bank as corrupt. It almost like saying that the best way to fight corruption is to run your nation into the ground.

But what do you guy think.

In related news it has been established that most murderers ate bread within the 24 hours prior to their murdering of another person.

Please report all people you have seen eating bread to the police immediately and save a life.

But seriously correlation vs causation

It not a perfect overlay, but you should get the ideal that the nations in debt are trying to hide it by calling the ones not in debt, corrupt.

In China, government officials skim off the top or accept "gifts."

In the US, they're called campaign contributions and fundraisers.

So would it be correlation vs causation if more people who smoked had lung cancer? Is it "correlation vs causation" as unemployment goes up, income inequality aslo goes up?

Aside from at least one of these maps clearly being bullshit (I don't believe Belize has $4 trillion in external debt), the correlation is almost exclusively that Europe and North America have relatively high debts, and relatively low "perceptions of corruption" (which doesn't actually mean anything, by the way). The percentage of white people in each country would map up about as well with the "perceptions of corruption" index.

Same could be said about car-ownership.

This is what happens when you let white people drive cars. Best thesis to date.

The US is one of the most corrupt countries in the world, but the corruption is disguised as something else or simply not recorded.

Lord Ashcroft of Belize and UK and myriad tax havens in between, acknowledged debt to GDP was a state secret. GIVE A LITTLE WIKKIII.....let's not kid ourselves it is just Tories...Labour has it's snout deep in the trough too.

Life was so much simpler as a boy, adults moaned about being robbed with a fountain pen. Now as we all know, a computer terminal....a Thomson machine gun belongs in another era.

Good luck following the paper trail...I gave up when it turned into a double Helix. The hurricanes blamed for Belize's woes are more the results of a debt eruption causing a Tsunami.100% debt to GDP ratio.

Yes indeed Khad.."In the US, they're called campaign contributions and fundraisers." We in Britain know the scams, blatant....and the devil take the hindmost! Brown Manila envelopes. Actually does anyone here bother taking a high moral tone? Just thinking out loud. Would it make any difference, politicians and city bankers have all lost control. Even if they were squeaky clean, pure as driven snow, left right or centre can anyone tame the beast. Or have I lost the will to live? Or listen to another SHOCK and HORROR banking scandal involving our political masters.......at least here in Philippines a bribe is affordable except by the poorest. It's known as a 'SNACK', accordingly. Gimme te simple life.
