Okay. For those who don't know these guys, they are a bunch of arse licking politicians who are trying to ban same-sex marriage and civil unions. They are wanking over this idea that they are protecting marriage, when really all they are doing is sticking their fat noses into things that don't concern them.

So anyway, I went onto their facebook page to confront them. Because quite frankly, someone has to. I got the usual drivel from all the religious nutjobs about how being gay is a sin and how marriage is about one man and one woman, blah blah freaking blah.

I happened to mention a good friend of mine. He was gay and he took his own life to escape homophobic bullying. One of the bible bashing retards bluntly said to me, and I quote;

"Your friend was obviously mentally ill and disturbed."

I was raging. Then she had the cheek to speak of my other gay friend, who tried to commit suicide (Thankfully he is alive.). She said;

"If your friend coulden't control his actions, he is in need of professional help."

I swear, she better pray to her imaginary friend that I NEVER see her in real life. Cause if I see her ugly mug, I'm going to do something that will land me in jail.

WTF is wrong with people like this! These Christians say they are all about love! Yet the spew such bile and hatred against people who are different! It sickens me and makes me ashamed to be human!

These Christians say they are all about love!

This is a modern idea that Christians adopted after the world progressed past them and everyone realised that they were tyrants who dominated the Middle Ages. Before that, Christian priests only preached love because preaching hate is not as cool and wouldn't have worked well as the opium of the masses.

Take solace in the fact that most of these self-proclaimed Christians would actually be going to hell if it existed.

They can't even do Christianity right. Sensible Christian objection to homosexuality is NOT based on this. I understand people often make this mistake, but the old testament laws, and other concepts are generally considered to no longer be solvent. New prophet = new book = new attitude, see what I mean? Objection to homosexuality is rooted in the idea that sex undertaken for purposes other than procreation is a sin. Thus all forms of sex that cannot lead to procreation are by their very nature sins because they represent nothing more than acquiescence to lust.

Be in the world but not of the world, see what I mean? Christianity has little tolerance for bowing to any selfish appetite or impulse; the idea is to aspire to something greater. I will admit however there is a hypocritical disparity in the way many churches view say homosexuals as opposed to (for example) the morbidly obese (who have clearly succumbed to indulgence in the sins of gluttony or sloth) and the attitude of some churches (‘God hates fags,’) is just downright stupid. Still, there is my two cents, and it may explain to you why more mainstream churches are wary of, but do not wholly condemn homosexuals. (NOTE: I am not Christian, but I do make an effort to understand things that I don't agree with)
