Game 7 could have been better if the Carp had thrown a complete-game shutout like Jack Morris in Game 7 of the 1991 World Series (even more impressive, Morris did it in ten innings). I thought Carp lost it when he allowed back-to-back doubles in the first, and escaped a jam (runners on first and third) in the second.
Who would have thought that the "World" Series Champions in two consecutive years would have a required an epic collapse to make it into the post-season. In this case, the Braves collapsed for the Cards, and the Padres, losing ten games in the row, collapsed for the Giants last year.
