Can someone give me some good ones that keep an up to date website and publish some kind of newsletter regularly? CPUSA does but IMO CPUSA is just a arm of the Democratic Party rather than a real communist party right now. I live in Houston, TX so if there are any that you guys know of off hand that are active in that area post 'em. Thank you in advance comrades!

RCP. I mean, come on -- they have "revolutionary" right there in the name!

(Because this is learning, I feel obligated to confess my sarcasm in the above sentence.)

Being that you're pro-Stalin I would recommend the Party for Socialism and Liberation or the American Party of Labor, much like sugarnotch said sarcastically in his post--don't go for the RCP (they're a cult) and certainly don't go for the CPUSA (if you do might as well just join the Democrats).

Yup, above they've got it. PSL is the best option.

Their newspaper ... http://socialistworker.org/
Their bi-monthly journal ... http://www.isreview.org/

And there's a branch in Houston

PSL is Marxist-Leninist. US Marxists-Leninist Organization publishes a monthly newspaper as well. I'm not sure of ones in Texas though.

This type of threads is always a honeypot for sectarians promoting their own groups, which is why these threads are utterly boring and a waste of cyberspace.

Have a look at a somewhat complete list here (http://eng.anarchopedia.org/List_of_Left-Wing_Parties_in_the_United_States).

You're best bet would be to see if there is some sort of "peace and justice center" or activist space where people meet and look for literature.Do some googling. Check out the link Q posted.
