"For each according to his ability, to each according to his needs"
Most libertarians and rightists are against this this principle, and claim that it is a bad principle. What exactly do they mean that? Are they meaning that everybody should not contribute as much as possible to the society? Or do they think that everybody should not get their needs filled? I am quite curious about it.

You'd have to ask them, whereupon they'd tell you something stupid.

When i ask them about it, the answer is usually " soviet russia followed those principles, do you support soviet russia?"

Their answer will follow along these lines:
Who determines the abilities of each?
Who determines the needs of each?
You cannot have someone else decide because ability and needs are subjective, therefore having someone else decide it for you is arbitrary and dictatorial.
You cannot have them decide for themselves because they will consume an excessive amount, and work too little or not at all.

Then you should point out how that is a flawed strawman argument.
There are some just objections to this principle being applied right away. Lenin goes into critizms and solutions in his book "The State and Revolution". Basically saying how it isn't feasible for awhile but will be achieved at some point.

The more rational ones i have asked about it, says it is wrong because it is a principle of socialism, and they are opposed to socialism. This is not an argument. I posted this because I want an answer. Since it is on the opposing ideologies forum, rightists are completely free to explain why they are against; for each according to his ability, to each according to his needs".

Reminds me of an argument I was having with some Teabaggers who were having spasms because their first Real Life Socialist confronted them and they didn't know what to do. They asked me what modern socialist countries do you support? To which I responded none as there are none. So much for their canned response of why don't you move there.
Asking the right for any kind of logical argument is a waste of time they prefer useless emotional appeals to your patriotism, killing of brown people in far off lands, and wearing tacky American Flag apparel.

I still believe that there must be some sort of logic in the rightist ideologies. Why would anybody have a political stance without logic? But i start to doubt it after checking their beliefs.

There is a concrete logic to them. It best represents the interests of their class and therefore they identify with it. Just like communism represents the interests of the proletariat.

The worst part of it, is that most rightists are lower middle-class. Most rightists are against their own interests. This is due to the bourgeois propaganda.
