Apparently, Cenk and Ana believe in entertainment, it can be a free market and in should be a free market.
Hollywood stars getting paid those enormous salaries is just supply and demand. These morons love to speak for the Occupy movement.
Discuss.

I'm not sure what you're angry about since the video just went to the OWS thing. It's like with sports. If the players don't get it, the ownership will.

The video was supposed to be in response to an article calling for a protest against Hollywood or at least a solid critique of the industry.
Apparently, Cenk and his team insist that the OWS movement is not against wealth and that corporations aren't the problem, a corruption of supply and demand is.
I just got ticked off at how they proclaimed that all occupiers are just as moderate as they are.

I thought they had claimed to be left progressive, a bit to the left of your average liberal.

Cenk is more on the Terrible side of things than Amy Goodman on the "confused-ass people think we're Left" spectrum.
Which is to say he's pretty rotten. Amy Goodman at least seems to be genuinely politically confused herself so...

Cenk is openly anti-Marxist though.
At least Amy invites plenty of Marxists on her show.

You're the man Radio, because you've still got enough goodness left in you to be shocked when liberals act like dumbasses.
That said, sports and entertainment is a really weird labor situation that I guess was not around the way it is today, back in Karl Marx's time. I mean technically, the athletes are the ones out there working, tearing their ACLs, getting dirty, taking foul balls to the nose, but they're clearly not paid like most proles. Same with successful actors and musicians.
Of course, then there's the issue of the stadium employees, the hot dog vendors, and the film crews and production crews and all.

Whoa there, buddy. I don't like Chomsky all that much anyway, as he pretty much is a "radical" liberal in a lot of ways, but do you have any evidence that he's a CIA mole?

Do I need to annotate every joke?
But seriously Amy Goodman seems to have good intentions, but I don't really feel like she or Democracy Today are really...effective? I don't really know how to articulate that further.

I think Brendan M Cooney touched on this in one of his videos. Basically he said that athletes and movie stars represent something like craft workers, or craftsmen, who have more autonomous control over their labor. They would fall somewhere in between professionals and proles.
Then again there are a ton of bad actors out there.
So does anyone have an answer to the Hollywood/athlete question?

I've noticed that the Young Turks have been distancing themselves from the left in recent videos.
They have sold out. They were intimidated by their "Ron Paul" viewers downvoting all their videos critical of Libertarianism, free market economics, etc., so they changed the political leaning of their their show. Whereas there used to be videos of Cenk overtly criticizing Ron Paul, today he doesn't say anything critical about him without a prelude "I agree with most of what Ron Paul says, but...".
Although it is a fun talk show to watch, the Young Turks were never a Socialist show to begin with, and they are only drifting further to the right.
By the way, the link didn't work for me. I put vNE3XFqk4Tk after watch in the url and that took me to the right video though.

Cenk should join the Tea Party. I'm sure that there are many like minded people there.

Ehh the only mainstream news commentator who I like at all is Olberman. He seems to have some clue what is going on, and he did call for strikes and mass action awhile back so he is decent. Thom Hartmann is decent too, very intelligent and he does have Richard Wolfe on his show so he isn't anti-Marxist, thought I"m not sure you could call him mainstream either.

What about the avowed socialist on MSNBC? Of course by socialist he meant social democrat.

I think you mean Lawrence O'Donnel(sp?). I'll admit there are times when I like him, like when he used to uses the Bible against Rush and Beck since they quote it so much. Other times though he really annoys me and acts as a pure Obama apologist, so I'm honestly not even sure I'd consider him as left as the social-democrats, because Obama sure isn't one. The worst of all of them is Ed Schultz, I can't stand that guy. I swear, I have to wonder if he is paid by how often he praises Obama on his show.
