I was hoping someone could help me find some quotes or sources, which I've been unable to find in the past hour. It has to do with jests at Lenin for retreating to books (I forget the context. I don't know if its in context of the failed 1905 revolution and the eventual publication of Materialism and Empirio-Criticism, or if it was right as the 1917 Revolution was building up.). The particularly funny thing though, was that people realized after the fact that this so called purely academic or scholarly work that Lenin was doing, turned out to have vastly important in terms of politics and the revolution, and those who would joke about this before realized that as it turns out, they were wrong to do so.
