I recently found this site (http://www.realussr.com/) which I've been wondering what life in the USSR was really like in it's pure accurate form? Is there members here who used to live in the USSR and it's Satellite states?

Anyway I have some several questions...

1. Was there Anti-Stalinists/Leninists/etc and Non-Doctroine Marxists in the USSR and how did the state tolerate them? Did they survive?

2. How different was the lives of women and other people with different skin color (was there Blacks, Asians, Arabs, etc in the USSR?) compared to the west?

3. How different was the Soviet films compared to the Western films? (I heard that Soviet films were less racist/sexist/etc than western films).

4. Just how "oppressive" the Soviet Union really was despite what the West tells us?
