So angry right now. We were ready to strike, it was approved. Leafletings were scheduled and support from other groups was obtained. The day before the union leadership canceled the strike against the wishes of the rank-and-file for fear of legal repercussions and a hope that the company's parent company will intervene, which wont happen. (Capital vs. Labor, hello!)
As a result, the branch is now broken. There wont be any settlement because there isn't any more branch.
Let that be a lesson to anyone who ever becomes a union exec. When the momentum is going forward, there is no greater crime than holding it back, whatever the risks. If you hold it back, it dies.
