Simple enough, which one will you be getting?
I personally am getting Battlefield 3 as I can't stand Microsoft (I'd have to get xbox live, get my xbox back up working, buy CoD and now there is an "Elite" service that costs 50 bucks! I don't care if I get all the DLC, I could buy another game!)
That and I am a PC gamer at heart, and supporting Battlefield 3 is directly supporting the PC as a lead platform.
Unlike CoD which is obviously pursing a much more Xbox 360 approach (Seriously, even if you do have Elite Service and are on PS3, you have to wait a month? PC is basically non-existent to the CoD team.
I side with BF3! What about you?

None of them. If I had gotten any, I'd totally get MW3, because I'm utterly in love with the ultra-reactionary and simplistic plot.

I can understand that.
And yes, the plot is very fun. However I would never buy the game outright, I'll probably get the "Extended trail version" for PC or buy it from a friend for a lot cheaper when he gets bored with it.
It's apart of my anti-Capitalist/anti-Microsoft fight!

Along with Smyg, I'll probably get MW3 if I get any of them.
MW2 and Blops were fun ... even though I prefer RPG and RPG-influenced games ... like Oblivion and Fallout ... and Morrowind!!!
I'd totally be more into PC gaming if there were more games available for Linux.

Nut, i'm getting BF3 for it's superior multiplayer. I'll probably get MW3 'Extended trail version' too for it's singleplayer but i'm not expecting greatness. Skyrim is 10 on the meh-ometer for me, it looks nice but I've never been much of a fantasy fan... I do love a bit of Fallout though.

Skyrim and AC:Revelations come out in the same week. Who gives a shit about games you have to pay extra to actually play?

Battlefield 3 is the game I am most looking forward to. I don't play multiplayer though so I really don't care about either game much.
Its all about Assassin's Creed!

get out.
In terms of gameplay, it's basically World of Warcraft without the multiplayer aspect to it (the best part).

You've have never played anything in the series have you?
By that logic EVERY rpg is an offline world of warcarft?
But you sir are extremely mistaken. EXTREMELY

Oh, you mean the part where I have to pay extra to play a game I already purchased? I hate that logic, it's such bullshit. I bought the game, anything I have to pay extra to play or have something extra to do is NOT part of the game. I paid sixty-bucks for the game, either you have a satisfying, replayable, difficult, and long single-player or you have a sixty dollar box with a disk that lets you play with other people if you pay them extra every month. I don't see the attraction.

I'm with ya i hate WoW, (terrible story and lazy devs) but it is an MMO and when people buy it they know its an MMO and that single player exists but isn't as deep as the multi player. Whats the point of buying an mmo if all you want to do is play the single player?

That aspect of my comment was more directed towards CoD and BF.

Only if you're a sap that plays multiplayer games on a 360 or shitty microtransaction/subscription games (a la WoW, World of Tanks, blah blah blah). You don't need to pay anything extra playing BF or CoD multiplayer on PC (or PS3 iirc) besides the game itself.
Skyrim is so fucking overrated.
More interested in seeing what Bethesda can do with the Creation Engine than the actual game itself. It'll be a brief 'extended trial version' for me again...

It's still overrated.
RPGs are shit if there's nobody else to RP with.

At first you say something that is correct and then you go and say something wrong.
Skyrim will be bad. Three stats? Nah. Only a handful of skills? Nah. Less weapons and weapon types than Morrowind and Oblivion? Naaaah.
Anyway back to BF3 and COD, I don't like either but BF3 has bullet drop and so is instantly superior to COD. Though I prefer the ARMA series to either of those.
