wto is being copied

while doing some research on the lack of labour standard provisions in the wto i stumbled across somthing absolutely hilarious.

someone has emulated almost perfectly the wto website. the fake site uses the same symbols and has copied the site exactly except that the texts are wrong. check it out its hilarious. the fake website even has a warning that there is a fake wto website and everything

the real wto website is www.wto.org

the first fake website is www.gatt.org

that website leads you to www. wto-ministerial.org


its all really well done and if you didn't know better you'd think it is an official website. (malte did you do this just kidding :) :)

Pretty amusing. and ppl ARE being fooled by this. I have heard people mention the WTO and GATT in the same sentence!!!! I always wondered" What the hell is the GATT" Thanks for telling me!

actually the GATT is a real thing. It was the body of trade regulation laws etc that was the forefather to the WTO. IT stands for the General Agreement on Trade Tariffs. However, the GATT does not have a website as the laws etc of the GATT have now been incorporated into the WTO. But the GATT is very real and very true, just not that web site.

I hope you read this so that you aren't mislead.
