I've had some what of a revelation after seeing the video of Gaddafi being brutalized and supposedly murdered while being detained. Now, I don't like Gaddafi. However, I also don't support NATO. It was just pretty sickening to see an old man in that condition. Now yes, he ordered the same horrible things on other people. I understand. Should others go as low to do the same thing though?

I use to think of myself as an Anarcho-Pacifist. I stopped the Pacifist thinking though as of lately. I've praised John Brown for murdering the slave supporters and such. I've had respect for Lil Bobby Hutton and Cleaver for standing up to the racist cops in which they tried to murder them. I don't know what to think. I'm against the death penalty. There's too many people killing each other in the world. We can't be rational anymore. This world is and has been, excuse my language, fucked up. I don't blame the Libyan rebels for doing what they did. I probably would have done the same thing in their shoes. What do you think about murder?

It's a deeply complex issue. Or, by murder, are you referring to the ... uh ... expedited capital punishment (lynching) of Gaddafi?
In which case, I'm against capital punishment.

Like you said ... in the shoes of someone who had grown up under Gaddafi's oppressive government, I'd have likely done the same thing.
Although, that doesn't make it okay.

If they deserve it and there's a good reason for it, and there are no negative consequences, then yes.

If there had been a workers revolution in Libya and they had murdered Gaddafi, would that have made it more acceptable?

If there is no other option then yes, like in the case of Ireland in the 60's. Although some of that was self defense.
