We need a working-class youth culture that is accessible, reflects the reality of life in our communities and encourages the development of a politically and socially conscious mentality. This culture must be produced by young workers for young workers to create a real alternative to the corporate-created culture of Hollywood movies, bling-bling music videos, and Top 40 radio that only encourages alienation, money-worship, and consumerism. Therefore, Cafe Che must be more than a cultural production. It must be a form of cultural struggle.
