In America, race itself is a faux pas. We deny supposed racial differences in the name of liberal tradition, perhaps to our downfall - according to you and devoted racial realists.
The general rule of thumb for every rational, honest person is that liberals are always right; except for the position they subscribe to the most irrationally. Despite that guns are totally irrelevant to crime, and wealth inequality is the sole factor in causing and prevnting crime (making guns effectively useless), I still love guns. It's silly, I know, but at least I know it's silly and, if ever given the wheel, would never consider it seriously.
However, this is not the worse of /anything/ at all. True dysrationalia would have Noam Chomsky suddenly becoming an Islamophobic, fundagelical wingnut while remaining ideologically static on everything else. Or an atheist socialist quoting VDARE to back up abhorrent, stupid views.
Blacks are commiting the most crime and the Latino population, which also has high crime rates, has exploded. These issues are important, but liberals are saying that they're innocuous developments that goes back to environment. They say that blacks and Latinos commit crime because of a poor economic environment.
In this capitalist society, calling blacks and Latinos "lazy" is the equivalent of saying a Jew starving in a Nazi ghetto is starving because their "racial" lineage is poorer; there are /significant/ variables at play. One could work 12 hours for wage slavers and get a wage for mere subsistence and nothing more. The only way one can create a better life for yourself in this neoliberal capitalist society is the deification of knowledge. (or "College" which I am morally opposed to for complex "FIGHT DA POWA", "FIGHT DA SYSTEM", "ANARCHY IN THE UK OI OI" reasons)
Valuing knowledge will lead to having a rarer trade that will invariably pay higher than most. Knowledge is the entry to the middle class in a capitalist economy.
However, when faced with this, "Racial Realism" breaks down in a fucking heartbeat. It's all related to education; the /autonomy/ and the environment that will foster education (This is a denialist argument; a thorough reaming of your racism will come shortly).
Schools in the US are already shit-tastic and Third-Worldian, schools in poorer places end up worse in education than that. Blacks are poor, they /have/ to accept the mediocre, etc.
And, as you know, because of discrimination, blacks get paid less/get hired less.
If your thinking that IQ or some arbitrary bullshit skull-measuring tool is somehow correlated with "a tolerance for knowledge" you're bullshitting reality itself. While the information age can be used to foster a good education and beat geography (the internet is becoming cheaper and cheaper) you have to make sure people /respect/ education.
I don't think America respects education, much less its worse-off citizens, because it is a decadent society. I think this because poor countries highly respect education, as its seen as a tool for economic development. Mind you, Cuba has one of the highest rates of education in the world... and, just to make you think education muteness might just be an American thing, so is every other country in the world that isn't absolutely poor. I was homeschooled by a Jamaican mother and Bahamian father, they say I'm a child prodigy (I thank the internet solely for that.) My sisters, born extroverted and into schools, are all failures.
If you want to keep this to blacks, I'm going to blame an utter lack of black unity, and massive black conservatism/right-leaning apoliticalness. (As for why blacks are conservatives, reparse that into "why are poor people conservative?" I would blame corporatocracy.)
Blacks, having been assimilated into american culture, see themselves as a race of individuals, not an ethnicity that needs to unite in struggle and help one another a` la` the Jews. They love low taxes, hate the existence of Welfare (contrary to racist opinion), think gubmint is tryna eat their guns, hate the government for not caring and flagellating it any time it attempts to, and are a bit like much, much, much, MUCH more civilized and more liberal rednecks.
