This is a speech that I might deliver, and I'm looking for critical feed back. Read anything in quotation marks as sarcasm, and capitalized words have a emphasis on them.
The United States government has placed the "Capitalist" system on life support. Without government intervention the Banking, Automotive, and Housing sectors would have collapsed Long ago. This is corporate Welfare, and it is neither Socialism, nor Capitalism.
The corporate interests in our nation have managed to convince many Americans that aid to the Poor, Sick, and Needy is wrong, while demanding that public funds be allocated to those that are already Obscenely "Rich". Many have spoken out against This, but their voices have been drowned. Our Government created BY and FOR the people, has only served the interests of the wealthiest ONE percent of the population for Decades.
Because of this Betrayal, the Richest 1% of Americans now control nearly 50% of National Wealth. While the bottom 50%, half of all Americans, subsist upon less than 2%.
When people like Michele Bachmann defend Capitalism, what they are in fact doing is defending Inequality. The Capitalists look upon your Suffering, your Poverty, AND THEY PROCLAIM IT RIGHTEOUS. They see themselves as gods amongst Us. They believe they are Entitled to all they can Steal. They view the masses as Inferior, and treat us as their Slaves.
They believe the pseudo capitalist system can remain as it is Forever, But they are WRONG. Capitalism only works when there is capital available, for the capitalist to accumulate. There's no longer any spare capital, they've gotten ALL OF IT, and they still want MORE. They're ideology can only make things worse. There self interests will bring nothing but war and unrest until they fall. The Capitalist System is a "vegetable", AND IT IS TIME TO PULL THE PLUG.
Because of all this I AM A COMMUNIST. In my eye's communism is the only MORAL political and economic philosophy.
The same people that have told you Capitalism is good, have also told you Communism is bad. They have used propaganda so successfully, that their are now many misconceptions about communism. I would like to dispel some of these.
The Soviet Union, used communist rhetoric, claimed to be Communist, But through it's actions it proved itself not to be a Communist state. In much the same way that the US claims to be a Capitalist state, but through it's actions proves itself to be a Corporate Welfare state.
Communism is not authoritarian. It stresses Direct Democracy, and organization from the bottom up. Communism seeks to place workers in control of their own work environment, and citizens in control of their own nation.
The Ideology of communism was developed by German philosopher Karl Marx. Stated as simply as possible Communism seeks to GIVE you a HOME to live in, TRANSPORTATION to get around with, HEALTH CARE for when you are sick, and help you in a thousand other ways from birth to death.
Communism seeks to place all enterprise that currently seeks profit under Common Ownership, and worker control. For all of us this would mean a reduction in the cost of living. Products would be sold at production cost, with no excess charged for the purpose of profit. Also the workers making products would no longer be Wage Slaves. Think about your own work environment, yes you get to leave and yes you get paid, but how are you treated while on "Company Time". I've been berated with many work place slogans, "The customer is always right" "If your having a bad day leave it at home" "This is not a democracy" Such statements seek to suppress your humanity in the work place, they make you more cooperative in you own enslavement. Imagine a work place where ALL ARE EQUAL, where nobody gets to act like a dictator because they "achieved assistant manager". You may wonder how this would function, and it's fairly simple, the workers would assemble and vote to make decisions, if someones behavior needed to be corrected they're fellow workers would sit them down and explain things as a group, almost like an intervention.
Those who defend Capitalism, and Inequality, lead OUR nation inexorably toward its Doom. These bringers of destruction view Inequality as the natural order, and that is why they hate Communism. Communism threatens their position. Under communism there would be no class distinction, for there would be no class. The few would no longer be allowed to profit at the expense of the many.
Our Nation, Our People, are best served through COMMUNISM. Let us end the system that has brought us here, and begin down the road to a better tomorrow. FOR YOUR OWN GOOD, FOR THE GOOD OF EVERY FUTURE GENERATION, throw off your shackles and demand equality. Your future rests in your own hands.

In my eye's communism is the only MORAL political and economic philosophy.
communism is not about morals, please do not make a moral argument. Communism is more efficient for the majority and if the majority are taken care of then the individual will also benefit. Due to the subjective nature of morality you cannot count on those listening to hold the same moral positions as you. Stick to objective scientific facts.

In the text you seem to use the term capitalism in the sense of small government and relatively level playing field for entrepreneurs. I don't like that usage (and prefer it to mean a minority controlling access to means of production), though it's very common and you have to know your audience.
Given how short attention spans are and how counter-intuitive it is to redefine lots of terms and for many in the audience you are already redefining communism, instead of giving another definition for capitalism I wouldn't use the term at all. You use corporate welfare, everybody knows what that means, likewise you can talk about the absence of equal opportunities instead of the absence of capitalism where it is left to the listener to figure out that in the context of the speech it means just that.
I would also push self-identification as a communist more towards the end. For quite a few Americans that just means something Nazi-like. So that part of your speech will sound like: Because of all this I AM A NAZI. In my eye's NAZISM the only MORAL political and economic philosophy. When you then go on to dispel misconceptions they have already put you in their mental spam folder. So say that you want a society without unemployment (though you won't have to work many hours), without homelessness, with healthcare for everybody and better public transport and workers having more influence over what happens where they work, and after that say that this is what real communism is about.
Will you be alone or will somebody be with you there? Do you plan giving out flyers?

Very early planning stages. There's a small but very noticeable protests in downtown Spokane (where I live). I've stood with them on several occasions, but I question their efficacy. The spot they've chosen get's scene by a lot of cars, but there's no foot traffic.
I want to talk directly to people. I feel an attitude shift, an oprotunity to spread the core doctorine of communism. The only way I'll know for sure is to see how a crowd responds to the ideas.
I will have a friend record it.

The word, "communism", might scare them off...I would use socialism. Or at least start with that, and try to persuade them to communism if you have a socialist audience.

I agree about putting communism at the end because some people switch off their brains instantly at that mighty word. Keep the speech how it is and towards the end when you find them all agreeing, you can break out the "ya'll know that's socialism right? yeah im a commie, suckers"

There are particulars to the situation that make it a more appealing prospect then one might think. Also I want to learn through observation. One on ones with my fellow citizens have given me the confidence to proceed. I don't mind putting myself out there.
You however seem make every effort to be careful with your opinions. Having read your one thread, and a sampling of the posts you've left on other peoples threads, I find myself unimpressed.
I don't believe in a vanguard party, because I'm not a Leninist. If my silly self-aggrandizing manages to open the mind of a single person I will have exceeded my own expectations. If I find one phrase that people seem to like, I will feel justified. Nothing ventured nothing gained.

I find myself inspired. I myself am starting up a movement in my school(see my thread in this same forum section: "occupy" my high school) based around true democracy and total equality and freedom for all students.
I am a Marxist-Leninist. I am structuring the group in a more organized, leadership based fashion(the leader is democratically elected mind you and is chosen by fellow students) to make it more efficient and less prone to disorganization problems.
Hopefully the movement will catch on.

That's a wonderful idea. The greatest asset of youth is open mindedness (with the exception of born again Christian students, seriously how can you be born again when you've barely had time to sin).

He isn't talking he is going to rant at a bus station. Perhaps reading the thread was far too much for you. Truly the only idiot here is you as you can't even discuss you must rage like an impotent child no matter where you post. He still hasn't given a reason why he is going to a Bus Station to rant. If that is so much to ask for then I dare say he is wasting his time.
Lets break it down even further since you are having comprehension problems. Talking involves interaction which I am all for and in fact it is usually the best way to express political ideals. What the OP is talking about is giving a random speech at a Bus Terminal that doesn't involve talking that involves droning on while people go about their day trying to figure out what your deal is. One is a perfectly acceptable way of interacting with my fellow Working Class. Giving some polemic speech at a bus terminal just means I am going to turn up my iPod to ignore your crazy ass.

You never asked me for a reason why so "He still hasn't given a reason why he is going to a Bus Station to rant. If that is so much to ask for then I dare say he is wasting his time." is not a fair statement. If you must know I'm giving it because of the presents of protesters, and a general permissive atmosphere in the area.
I plan on interacting with anyone that has a question. Also a few of my friends may be convinced to join me. A show of red and black, with a short speech, in an area that already has people with signs and megaphones every day, hardly sounds that odd to me.
Truly you seem to be the only person raging. Statements like "Truly the only idiot here is you as you can't even discuss you must rage like an impotent child" are neither constructive or welcome.
You seem to loath everything I write. When I tried to communicate with you through private messages you got angry. I ignored you but you kept posting on my threads. I don't know what you want from me, other than for me to stop posting and leave this site.
If your so intolerant of others that you can't even stand to coexist with them on a web site, then I want you nowhere near politics. It seems to me your interest in revolution stems from a desire to see the rise of an authoritarian system that shares your values, and would crush people like me.
You're not a communist Commissar. You're a petit Dictator, who will always attack his perceived enemies.
In one of your posts, on another persons thread, you expressed a desire to see more open communism at protests, then you attack me when my whole plan is to display communism at a protest. Think about the paradox there, and ask yourself what motivates it.
All I'm doing is trying to help the revolution the best I can in my small community. Why am I so terrible in your eye's?

HaHa looks like you're the one who's raging bud. Just so you know for future reference this  is an "what a stupid suggestion face" and this :cursing: is a rage face, get it? I wasn't raging at you I was laughing at the stupidity of your comment. Also I think children are all technically impotent, I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure they start getting erections during puberty.
He still hasn't given a reason why he is going to a Bus Station to rant. If that is so much to ask for then I dare say he is wasting his time.
What reason does he need? It's a place where workers congregate and where people go to talk about whatever their ideas are. What difference does it make if it's a bus shelter, a park or a union hall. I have no idea why you are so opposed to talking to workers. But then again seeing as you're a Leninist I'm opposed to you talking to workers as well.

People give spontaneous speeches in parks we have speakers corner in Hyde park for example.

So as we see this is a place where people regularly listen to speeches, perhaps you should pay more attention. But even if it wasn't why would it matter going out and talking to people is what we should all be doing. Even if Eric doesn't get a positive response from anyone so what? At least he tried.
Oh I think you may have also missed the part where he asked for constructive criticism so unless you've got any of that may I suggest you fuck off

yeah it's better. Perhaps after you talk about bailing out the banks you should remind them that it is us who will be paying for it for generations to come. When you come to actually do it you may find it's a little short. Perhaps add something about how many wars the country is currently involved in and how it's the working class who are sent to fight those wars so that capitalists can profit.
Perhaps print some leaflets to distribute.
And good luck

I wish you the best of luck. Hopefully you may just well get through to people at the bus station.
This is inspiring. Again this is how you get through to people: you speak to large groups.
What I plan to do is mobilize the school-a form of authorized protest(don't wanna get expelled).
I plan to mobilize it against racism, homophobia, unjust school rules(although it is at a district level, who says we can't oppose it at a local level?) discrimination towards the poor and immigrants, etc.
Of course it may not work, but it is worth a shot.
