The picture I have of North Korea is that of a hellish nightmare. Their leader is also shown as a complete madman. How much of this si true and how much is trumped up by mass media?

I'm not saying its perfect, far from it. Just remember that u (probably) live in an 'enemy' of DPRK so expect media to be biased.

of course it is biased, but that still doesnt mean that north korea is a mess
i know many people who escaped from north korea and who say it was a nightmare
