This show, much to my dismay, has gotten a somewhat more mainstream following in the past year.

However! I believe that the show does have many serious political undertones. It's obviously a satire of capitalists.

I was wondering if anybody came up on anything about the possible politics of the shows creators.

Awesome show. I hope it has a mainstream following, because I think this show deserves all the viewers.

It's one of the best shows ever. Their dialogue is so chaotic and plausible at the same time, and it reminds me of me and my "childhood" (/teenage) friends because we always argued passionately about the most useless bullshit (like putting helium in footballs and whether they would float).

The episode where they play an analogy of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is great.

It's obviously a satire of capitalists.

I think you're kinda seeing what you want to see.

EDIT:

They don't seem to be all too political though Only thing I could find is that Rob McElhenney (creator of the show and plays Mac) is pro-gay marriage.

It can get a bit over the top with some of the 'gross our humor', but I have to say I absolutely love the way the show strings together the ever shifting pseudo alliances between all of the characters. The mixture of absurd plot lines and the brilliant work on the constantly shifting state of the interactions between the characters just makes for a great show.
