I've been a frequent visitor to this website over the last year and felt it was time to stop lurking and start participating.

What brought me to Marxism was reading Capital a number of years ago and although much of what I read escapes me now, the core tenets remain and I find myself in the position where I have the time and drive to really pursue my political learning.

I need to develop my political understanding more before I declare support for a tendency but am keeping an open mind.

In closing, I would like to extend my greetings to all who share this forum.

Welcome comrade Reed ( I like Reed:D)
Again (as I and so many others always say to newbies) don't worry about tendencies. Just find your own answers.

If you have any questions just ask:)

Welcome, and in a rare moment of cross tendency agreement, I agree with the Trotskyist and the person with the Lenin avatar - come in, make yourself comfortable, don't worry about nailing your colours to your sleeve or whatever. Just read up, ask questions, get involved in debates. Your politics will crystalise around things that you maybe don't even realise yet.

And, I have to say, even if you agree with a tendency's general positions, there may be things that make you think 'no, wait, what? That's crazy!' - so, no need to jump the gun. We won't hold it against you.
