A Russian one. Particularly since his comrades with guns(very few of them) get shot if they don't have any support.

Susurrus, that actually does look like a good movie. Russian films seem to be just as good cinematically as western ones. all throughout both film industries' histories.
the knife part really looked like it was stolen from Saving Private Ryan though
obviously, content is different but still.

If you like RoboGeisha and The Machine Girl, both by director Noboru Iguchi, you'll have to check out Mutant Girls Squad.
ZNploBdaD30
That was by Iguchi and two other directors. One of the others, Yoshihiro Nishimura, also did Tokyo Gore Police and Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl.
Iguchi's contribution to the Tomie films, Tomie Unlimited:

He's also behind the funny tokusatsu television series Ancient Girl Doguchan and its sequel Ancient Girl Squad Dogoon 5.

brestskaya krepost is a nice movie. I liked it it has some parts I coulndt understand. Why the hell should you attack an enemy that has machine guns while running uphill when you are entrenched and safe in a house.

cuz they're mad as hell.
plus, being stuck in a house that is surrounded (im guessing) wont matter much anyways. fire is sometimes your worst enemy.

Having no food, water, or support while having bombs and artillery dropped on you at all times tends to inspire that line of thinking.

The best movie ever is "The Lives of Others," about the fall of the DDR, the East German police state. It is one of the most inspiring things I have ever seen. I waited for months to buy a used DVD of the movie for myself. The Germans I talked to, when I used to work at an engineering university, uniformly agreed that the treatment of DDR citizens by "their' government was one gigantic obscenity, and the movie depicts that system, warts and all, and its collapse. It still astonishes me how Stalinist rule succeeded in doing what decades of bourgeois propaganda could not: the Stalinists in power made "socialism" a dirty word for millions of workers.

hoooray for anti-communism!
though, the lives of others does have a great story. didnt influence my opinion of the DDR though.
I would suggest Goodbye Lenin over it for a "reunification" movie. a very cynical look at the whole damn thing. from an eastern perspective.

Hey, anti-communism can make for good movies. Der Untergang is a great movie, and a look into the mindset of such people.

Crossing a river and attack uphill against machine guns is much more rational.

As is rushing the enemy with a chair when the comrades behind you have weapons.
