'In sum, we are an army of dreamers, and therefore invincible. Thus, how
can we fail to win, with this imagination overturning everything. Or
rather, we do not deserve to lose.'

Just curous how this went?

I also wonder what you might think about this:

I think it would be really kewl if some of us from Rebel Youth Network could bus down there and appear at your Cafe to talk about our struggle for cultural and free space for the youth, and of course through down some spoken word/hip-hop.

I think it would be a really cool way for us to link up from accross the border.

Peace.

These events are always pretty cool. One thing though: it's not my cafe :D

If you want to have some kind of event there, I recommend you call (312) 850-4665 and ask to speak to Marcos. Of just wait until the next open mic night (which I will likely advertise here again).

I have a question about the Che Cafe, how is the place on non event nights? Do they keep pretty normal hours, like they're open on business days and whatnot right? I know some places (Rehearsal Studios in Indianapolis for example) have a name like that but are something else (it's a concert hall pretty much). So it's a cafe right? Some friends and I might head up there.

I think the hours are 7am-8pm during the week. It's basically a small restaurent. The food is great and the atmosphere is awesome.
