Hello folks
New to the forum so I thought it only right to introduce myself. Decided to join as I want to talk to like-minded individuals and become more knowlegable about the Left (the learning section is great, by the way).
As to why I am Leftist in the first place I don't really have a single moment or realisation were I suddenly considered myself to be on the left. It was gradual, after becoming more informed and seeing for myself the inherent instability and exploitation of the capitalist system it seemed the logical path.
I'd say I hover around Libertarian Socialism more than anything else but I dislike labelling too much as I think it continues in fracturing an already bitterly divided Left which puts me on to my next point.
I hail from Scotland which has several Leftist parties and movements which all seem to be at odds with each other rather than the common enemy we share, which I think denies them the chance to recruit many people who agree with their ideas but are put off by the bickering and backstabbing, etc.
I want to learn more about Left politcal theory and their practical applications, but most of all, be able to interact with people who have similar views to me. So I joined up here!:D
