The 1949 Academy Award film is good too. Seemed to convey that era more accurately as it was filmed only 14 years after Huey Long's assassination.

I much prefer the Robert Rossen version.

There was a very good TV bio pic of Huey Long from the late 1970s called The Life and Assassination of the Kingfish with Ed Asner as Huey Long.
