This guy's a fuckin' sheep. I just got hired. He told me that he's a poly sci. major...I told him I was too. We ended up in a conversation. I asked him if he'd ever had any marxist professors...and he replies, "Yes...that shit doesn't work." You know me and my big fuckin' mouth had to say something even though this prick is my boss. We ended up at a point in the convo where we were talking about the necessities of money. I said that it's not necessary that people could reap the benefits of a classless society where money's no longer incentive. He says what I'm describing is the barter system. He says that it's the same thing, but money's not around. I doubt this. I think that everyone would have their own jobs and do what they truely like to do and if someone wanted one of their products then they'd just make it for them. I say this b/c if you're a restaurant worker and I'm a car manufacturer and I want something to eat...and you want a car...then we just hook it up like that. He can't see this. He's such a sheep. He has it engrained in his ideology that greed makes the world go 'round. that's exactly what he told me. I think it's complete bullshit. I think so long as we have people saying that we can't have this kind of society they we never will. We also discussed the importance of a ceo. I told him that you don't need to have the OK from a some fat bastard sitting w/ his feet on his desk sucking on a big brown dick(cigar) so that you can provide enjoyable entertainment for others. If that's your dream to make a place like where I work so that people can have then money isn't going to hinder you from doing so. If you want that kinda place of business then the only thing money will do is make it harder for you to achieve this goal. You're held back until you have enough money. This prick has huge fuckin' blind-er's on. I want to just make him give felacio to a fuckin' shotgun and be done w/ it. The world would be a much better place w/ out these kind of stubborn, egotistical, selfish, greedy, capitalist pricks. ok...I'm done. Chau.

Well done my man :D
At least you stood up for what you believed despite the fact that he is your boss.

I agree with you, man.
The only job Ive ever had was working for Costco (ugh) as a buggie collector. Good GOD, was it horrible. Most of the time, I would be out there, in the parking lot, by myself, for 5-7, even 8 hours. Doing that job, by yourself, is IMPOSSIBLE.
And thats not all, my god damn, ungreatful supervisors would treat me like shit. Usually, when I finished work, I would just wanna go home, and not deal with the dump anymore for the day. One day, I was walking out, one of the supervisors (a complete *****) stops me, and says "where do you think you're going?" I told her, 'Im going home, Im done for the day." Then, she's like "Its not right to just go home after your shift is over! You should check the schedule, and offer to work more hours, and see what else you could do around here!" Yeah, like Im going to allow myself to be abused by that place one second more. I would often refuse extra hours, and sometimes, and let the phone ring whenever they called me (thanks to Call Display).
One time, the same supervisor gave me shit, because the logo on the garbage cans "were supposed to be facing the store at all times!"
My mom keeps pushing me to work there again. I would rather peel off my skin and roll around in a vat of salt, than work there again.

I've worked in about 4 "sectors" of employment. Let me explain them:
1. Newspapers. I was basically exploited enmasse by a 40 year old who got little kids to deliver his trash to people who did not pay for them. I got 40 dollars a month for delivering 90 or so papers twice a week. Being 10 to 12, that meant that it took me 2 to 3 hours per run, which is 7 hours a week, 28 a month. Picking up 40 dollars for 28 hours of work is slavery.
2. Retail. Basically I worked for a grocery store and Zellers. In both cases the management had no idea what kind of work their employees did, and put heavy work loads on us. A common problem was being given 6 hours work for a 4 hours shift. Other days it would be the opposite. 2 hours work for a 8 hour shift. And on those days I'd get in shit for not doing my work, although if the manager took the time to look at it, they would see that it was done and that I was merely helping my fellow employees (which was not allowed and occassionaly punishment - suspension, bad hours - was dealt out). Another problem was that when you asked for a day off, they would cut your hours. When you told them you could only work 3 days a week because of your school ect, they would give you either one 3 hour shift, or 5 6-8 hour shifts. I mean, they really didn't care. As I quit both jobs I let them know through my well crafted letter of resignation, which my coworkers enjoyed thoroughly.
3. Government. I love these jobs. Working for Ontario Parks is awesome, except they pay highschool students 3 times less than anyone else, although we often do the exact same work. Hopefully now that I am in university I will be able to get one of those better paying jobs (18$ an hour compared to just under 7$) and be able to afford school next year with out busting my ass working during the year, as I have done for the last 8 (if you include paper routes). These people, though, the management works with the employees so they know what can and can't get done in a day. Also, it was outside and physical labour, which is the most rewarding of all.
4. NonProfit. Offically I am paid by the government through a work study program, but I work for an activist group that allows me to make my own hours and projects. So I am free. They also tell me to charge the bastards at the government time in a half in protest of highcosts of schooling and the lack of availability of sufficent funds in government loans. It is great though.
There you go, my beef to you.

[COLOR=red] All I have to say is that hard work is not a bad thing, especially if your motivation is to improve and benifit everybody! When your motivation is greed$$
you are usually just benifiting yourself. I always thought or was told to think that greed is a sin. The moral: Sheep need shepard's my friends, do the best you can do, to make the world a better place. :D
ok lets float up a bit (getting to deep again :) )
so there was like this one time where i was like a bank teller, just an average day i guess, there was a rather large line up of impaciant citizens and tourists waiting to be served, sometime around noon i think. First of all i am a young guy (previously inspired by both marx and lenin)
Anyway, i am waiting on this young guy who needed a cheque cashed(long hair, che shirt on), i informed him of the service charge to have his cheque cashed, this guy FREAKS! blames me personally for the man and all of societies injustices, i remain calm, cash the cheque deduct the service charge, the guy(still pissed) makes a quick exit. I remain calm, and welcome the next customer who had just heard our conversation he makes a coment "That service charge is not right, but i understand it is not you personally" This guy was in his 30's i would say. We had a short chat about politics and the "man" I agreed that the service charge was not right! We shared a laugh! He could see that I was not a greedy impirialist pig, but rather just a stone in the capitalist wall.
I have had many jobs since that one, i am not successfull, but i am also not greedy!
