I work 70+ hours a week on the back of drilling rig in a uranium mine in Wyoming. I was wondering, in a communist/anarchist society, how would jobs like this be delegated. I feel as though it's a job that needs to be done. It's definitely not a job for the timid, the weak or the frail, and it takes a certain kind of mentality to work in the conditions that we do day in and day out.

See how much labor can be mustered up voluntarily. If that doesn't meet the required input, then divide the labor among those who are capable.

One of the main things about class society is the forced divison of labour [The Germany Ideology, where I think Marx calls it the natural division]. So in a communist mode of production, the divison of labour would be voluntary. If the job has to be done then I'm sure someone who recognises that it has to be done, would step up.
