Is the best sketch show on TV at the moment! Unfortunately it is languishing away on the children's channel. It's great because it shows how the ruling class has always fucked over the lower classes while mixing history with modern concepts and comedy. Anyway I'm in my late 20's and watching kids TV and I don't care :p

Also pretty classic is the 'explanation of the causes of WWI' sketch - my 9-year-old is firmly convinced that it was a kind of collective insanity with no rational basis. I really can't see that there's any counter-argument.

I've not seen the programme, but I liked the Horrible Histories books when I was a child.

WWI almost started a year earlier when Serbia and Montenegro refused to withdraw from northern Albania, prompting Austria-Hungary to threaten to invade both, which prompted Russia (Serbia's ally) to denounce Austria-Hungary, which prompted Germany to denounce Russia... yeah.

So yes, WWI was pretty much inevitable at that stage.
