View Full Version : You mean "Anti-Neo-Fascism" right? (moved from antifa-forum)

I know this sub-forum is about anti-racism, but I find you tarring real fascists with the racist brush is both offensive and ignorant. Fascism, true fascism, has nothing to do with racism. Not even remotely.

The reason why people think 'racist' when they think 'fascist' is because of Nazi adoption of the relatively race-mute idea; they bastardized it into some weird nonsense about the glory of white people or whatever.

The reason why Nazi style fascism became "Neo-fascism" and real fascism was essentially forgotten was probably because Fascist Italy was such a wholly innocuous footnote in history that failed at everything it tried (Mussolini famously deflated the money supply because he thought it would represent Italy's superiority; the idiot even failed to consolidate control properly)

Fascists seek to rejuvenate their nation based on commitment to the national community as an organic entity, in which individuals are bound together in national identity by suprapersonal connections of ancestry, culture, and blood. To achieve this, fascists purge forces, ideas, people, and systems deemed to be the cause of decadence and degeneration. Fascists believe that a nation requires strong leadership, singular collective identity, and the will and ability to commit violence and wage war in order to keep the nation strong. It advocates the creation of a totalitarian single-party state that seeks the mass mobilization of a nation through indoctrination, physical education, and family policy (such as eugenics). A fascist state's government is led by a supreme leader who exercises a dictatorship over the fascist movement, the government, and other institutions of the state. Discipline and obedience to the leader is demanded by the fascist movement to followers and subjects of a fascist state and is promoted through encouraging comradeship and commitment of followers and subjects. Fascist governments forbid and suppress opposition to the fascist state.
Fascism promotes violence and war as actions that create national regeneration, spirit and vitality. It views conflict as a fact of life that is responsible for all human progress. It exalts militarism as providing positive transformation in society, in providing spiritual renovation, education, instilling of a will to dominate in people's character, and creating national comradeship through military service. Fascists commonly utilize paramilitary organizations for violent attacks on opponents, or to overthrow a political system.

Don't mix up fascism with racism.

...also, I'm not a fascist. It has some good ideas and I'm greatly influenced by some of its core tenets, but fascism, perfected, leads to some... eh... not so good things. (See: Nanking Massacre)

"Fascism isn't racism, we just purge anything that doesn't promote ancestry culture and blood."

umm... what?

Fascism is Corporatism that's sugarcoated with radical nationalism, nothing more, nothing less...

As an Ideology of Plutocracy, it will do whatever it thinks will allow it to better control the working masses...

I.e. Purging colored folks, imprisoning homosexuals, deporting "foreigners," and persecuting Witches and Atheists.

The Italians were a backward people back then. The Vatican had more control than the nation's industrialists.

Feudalism, to a degree, still persisted. Mussolini's policies were tailored to them. (Which is the reason those policies failed)

I really don't see the difference, intrensically between Mussolini and Hitler's states. they were both a reaction to socialism, and they both were based off nationalism, and were run by private ownership.

Fascism is a family of sub-ideologies within a family of ideologies called Third Positionism, which includes movements like Peronism and Nasserism (for recent examples think Iraq under Hussein or Libya under Gaddafi), and possibly Bolivarianism.* Third Positionism strives to be "in between" "capitalism" and "communism." So it's not uncommon for their movements to call themselves "socialist." Note it doesn't have a materialist understanding what those terms mean, so "communism" means "a system where the government owns everything", "capitalism" means "free market", and "socialism" means something in between those. So Third Positionist states tend to have a lot of the economy publicly owned and such.

What distinguishes Fascism is:

1. Corporatism, which is an economic arrangement where capitalists are organized by industry (supposedly also with labor unions) into state-owned corporations - sort of like guilds - where they form economic policy with the state as mediator according to whatever is deemed the good of the nation. Probably meaning war 99% of the time.

2. Totalitarianism, coined by Mussolini, not the broad term that people like Arendt butchered it into to stretch it to the USSR. Basically a political system with one party with a great leader with total power who embodies the virtues and values of the nation.

3. Class Collaborationism, ties in with 1 and 2, self-explanatory. Basically the nation is one, so capital vs. labor = bad = break strikes + appease with union posturing and certain benefits.

4. Hatred for anything democratic.

5. Fanatic nationalism. Last but first.

*It might be better to classify Venezuela as a sort of radical social democracy, but there's really no fine line between social democracy and the third position.

Neo-nazis or neo-fascists are just racist clowns who like Hitler for the most part.

I think what you're saying is that fascism =/= racism, which is technically true assuming you mean the Nazi anti-semitism.

It is rue that fascism and racism are not intrinsically linked. But it is most certainly false that there are any good ideas that can be taken from that ideology.

Fascism is dead. Fascism was the Bourgeoisie's response to the growing rise of class struggle in Europe. Now Neo-Liberalism is the Bourgeoisie's response. Fascism has no relevance to today's world.

As distasteful as fascism may be, it is not intrinsically, inherently or per se racist. Some Jews in Italy were fascists at the beginning and Mussolini's lover (one of them) was Jewish. :crying:

Yeah sure... the failed Austrian painter, the little prick, learned how to wipe his own ass politically from the fascisti.....

So it ain't racist "per se"?
Cool story.
Every heard about what the fascists thought of and how they treated (Yugo)Slavs, the Libyan tribes or Ethopians?
