Ok, so a while back i was stoned and watching some late night talk show for some strange reason. Well, as a musical guest they had this guy, Damien Rice. He came out and started playing and it was wonderful. The song he was singing was this song called "The Blowers Daughter." It was just fucking beautiful. I ended up crying throughout the whole song because it was so wonderful. I ended up getting a cd of his and it rocks. If you like sad, sweet folksy/rock kind of music i suggest checking him out. just wonderful stuff.

ive got "o" its a very good album, he reminds me of Bob Dylan singing about girls, very awesome and laid back, i think he could reach big things.

Yeah "o" is wonderful. Its such a beautiful album. I dont think i have like this about an artist in a long time- music today just sucks horribly.

I will check out those suggestions and let you know what i think. Thanks :)

Yeah, Damian Rice is brilliant. There are a lot of great new Irish artists coming out.

no way, i hate those kinds of singers- the preppy lovey singers. Their songs are all sorts of happy and with no substance whatsoever.

Rice on the otherhand is absolutely wonderful, he is nothing like those singers. His music is not full of bubbley lyrics- they are more deep and heartfelt. And the music itself is just wonderful- not all pop sounding. If you like radiohead or even coldplay than you will like rice- at least i think you will.

try finding his stuff on the internet- you can probably hear some of his music on some sites.
