There are strong allegation Georgi Dimitrov, the last leader of the Comintern, had been poisoned while in a sanitarium near Moscow in 1949. The reason for this is held to be his opposition to Stalin's plan for the proposed Balkan Federation in which Bulgaria would have been subordinated to Yugoslavia.Dimitrov died rapidly and unexpectedly. The theory is that he was subjected to radiation poisoning.
What do people think?

That's one dumb conspiracy theory, considering the fact that both Dimitrov and Stalin stood on the same side in opposition to Tito's "vision" of a Balkan Federation dominated by Yugoslavia.
Also,Tito and Stalin definitely "fell out" in 1948...

There's no evidence for that at all. It was Dimitrov who in December 1948 was asked by Stalin to announce that yes, People's Democracies did embody the dictatorship of the proletariat under unique conditions, as opposed to the revisionists who were denying that they did (they instead argued that it was a "new" form of state power.) Reading Dimitrov's diaries makes it clear that he generally held Dimitrov in high regard, only criticizing him when he called for a Balkan Federation with Tito, which the West used to "prove" that the USSR wanted to dominate the whole world (since Dimitrov also included Greece, which was in a state of civil war.)
Edit: Also he had been ill for a while.
