Yes. Nobody ever said that he was a good guy, nobody says they like him. I haven't heard somebody ever say that they liked his social tactics used on his people. You are trying to make an argument where there is no argument. There hasn't been a "I Like Saddam" except from a very, very tiny small minority.

If this was all that America needed to invade countries, America would need to invade half of Africa and the Middle East, yet they don't. Hell, they'd even have to invade half of their own country.

This is a, "Look at how bad he is, look at this SHOCKING video, if you oppose America's take over of that country then you support this behavior. See Bush did something good by invading Iraq." This is backlash being released now because of all the bad press about Haliburton getting over paid contracts, contracts being signed to companies that gave to the fundraising of bush, to cover up all the bad things going on over there now.And when you measure up their bad to our bad, their bad wins. But bad is still bad.

There is of course the off chance that these soldiers learned these techniques at the School of the Americas in the 80's.

Did you guys see where they tie the dude's hands behind his back and throw him off a roof (just a couple of floors up - not enough to die - just hurt really bad)? Maaaan that looked like it hurt like a motherfucker, he came down face first and all :(

Anyway - I see no point to the tapes. I am sure a lot of even worse shit went down in Iraq, and I was sure of that before the war, as was anyone with half a brain. No one ever argued Saddam was a good guy - strangely the pro-war people seem to think these protests and all were simply about defending the wonderful regime of the saintly Saddam Hussen. It wasn't - and it isn't.

Trust Fox to get the worst material on the Iraq regime, but we already knew that Saddams lot were evil bastards.

For a start this war was not about stopping things like this from happening. The US administration have absolutly no concerns about the huredous human rights records of Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Myanmar, Ghana and Turkey. These sort of things happen all around the world and America does absolutly nothing about it. In fact they send money and arms to these countries and the US is one of ten countries to not sign the UN Human rights charter.

This war was about geo-political and economic control over a region the US feels they have lost control over. And of course oil.

When you ask if war is wrong under any circumstance. yes. especially when it is protracted by an imperialist nation with an imperialist agenda. I do not see how this video is evidence to support the reason for going to war. As people have said, we already new...Bush new when he came into office, Rumsfeld new when he was supplying him with weapons. the very weapons they now say he shouldnt have.

Did Fox News take such an interest in Iraqis dying off starvation or children dying slow painful deaths of Leukemia under the sanctions regime?

The right wing trying to play some sort of half hearted humanitarian "card" is one of the most transparent and pathetic things I have ever seen.

and a man being humiliated by riding a donkey backwards.

My god, those evil bastards!

Anyways like everyone's said, the US obviously not concerned with human rights as has been shown by their involvment or lack of involment in many countries. I also find it hard to believe that FOX News is really so rightous about Saddam's executions seeing as their usually pretty vocal supporters of executions in this country. I'd love to see someone go into a maximum security prison in the US and document the horrible treatment of the prisoners and use that as evidence of what the US government does to people it doesn't like and use it as justification to invade.

What can you expect from a guy who was put into office by an Imperialist.

PS: [extreme sarcastic mode] Pff, glad that I am safe. Now the USA has signed the anti-torture treaty as one of the few fighters of humanrights[/mode out]

Yes war is wrong I guess I should be asking: Is it necessary at times?

In case you didn't notice, what I am trying to know of you with my sarcastic comment is what justifies that the US hasn't signed the anti-torture treatment. You seem anti-torture.

What justifies the putting in office of Saddam Hussain?
