Hey everyone,
its been awhile since I've posted,
THIS SITE HAS CHANGED SO MUCH!! :o
It is just incredible how much this site has grown from its humble beginings
and to be one of the earliest members on the sight, its just amazing how this site has evolved
Anyways, there is a latin american conference that is going to happen at my college
and the theme of it is, a question that was posed by our associate proffesor of economics here is
"If Che were alive in the 21st Century, how would he use the Internet to advance his ideology and his revolution?"
I just wanted to know what you, fellow admirers think about this question.
If you would please post your thoughts, that would be great.
And just to let you know this site was a major, help in putting this conference together.
Just imagine walking into a room full of projected images of che on the wall, with his quotes everywhere, and a film of his key speeches on a big screen.
Its gonna be so awesome, I cant wait.
I'll let you know how it goes.
In the mean time let me know what you think, I would love to give them feedback from an international community of che admirers.
Peace.

Sending Spam or selling tees with his famous face on them
The internet will only spread his message to those that are looking for it.
I think the best way is a message board, like this. A place where people can organize and collectively work towards advancing the revolution.
Of course, he'd have to use other tools, like television. Methods of communication have evolved so much.

hmm...this is a tough question! I guess he'd probably use it very similarly to the way he used radio rebelde and Cuba Libre, by writing articles and such and posting them.

i think che would use the internet to get news from all over the world easier and more real time.
other then that, i'd think the internet is pretty much useless for him.
i'm fairly certain, he'd prefer to read a book on paper since he could do it anywhere, and doesn't require to be infront of a computer.
on the other hand i could be wrong, he could be using it to surf for "shemale midget porn" and playing conterstrike...but i highly doubt it.

I dont think the question is HOW Che would use the Internet, but if Che would use the Internet, at all?
Would he see view the internet as a great source for sharing ideas? Or could he view the internet as a source of global imperialism?
Just playing Devil's Advocate here;)

One of the things that has been pointed out is yes, its a tool of imperialism, latin america was connected to the web by the imperialists/capitalists, spending their money, their time, resources, and manpower on it, wouldn't it be possible then that he would want to use their tools against them?
There was something related to the Internet question in his farewell letter to his children that I found most interesting.
"Dear Hildita, Aledita, Camilo, Celia, and Ernesto: If you ever had to read this letter, it will be because I am no longer with you. You practicaly will not remember me, and the smaller ones will not remember at all. Your father has been a man who acted on his beliefs and has certainly been loyal to his convictions. Grow up as good revolutionaries.
Study hard so that you can master technology, which allows us to master nature.
Remember that the revolution is what is important, and each one of us, alone, is worth nothing.
Above all, always be capable of feeling deeply any injustice committed against anyone, anywhere in the world. This is the most beautiful quality in a revolutionary. Until forever, my children. I still hope to see you. A great big kiss and a big hug from Papa."

Che would be fighting in Kolumbia or Nepal. He would'n't use the internet.
Im sure if che was alive today he'd probably make his own web site
Why?There are already so many che sites on the internet.
But if he would be still alive would we be here talking?
I mean would he ever become so famous as he is now if he wouldn't have died in Bolivia.
