Why not tell me what you don't like about the post, or even what the similarities are between my post and "Paul politics" that you find unattractive?
Denial: Psychological defense mechanism involving irrational refusal to acknowledge an unpleasant truth.
You don't like Paul, Paul doesn't like the Fed, so therefore you blindly dismiss anything that aligns with his ideas? Would you consider the possibility that some of his ideas might be worth investigating?
In any event, I've posted an edited/updated article here:

Any input would be great.

what do you mean if 'we printed money we would go to jail'? If you tried ot forge fed notes, yeah, but you would get in trouble in the days before a central bank if you forged another banks money. if you can get people to trust you that your peice of paper will be accepted elsewhere, thats not illegal - youll just fail
and while the fed does charge interest on money it prints, all profits it makes are then given back to the treasury
i dont want to sound like im 'defending' the fed, but within capitalism its more sensible than just independent banking, like the hayek nutters want.

Did you read the entire article or just skim through it?
I don't agree with your vague claim that the Fed is a sensible institution, and I've stated my reasoning in this message and in the article.
If you have any evidence to back your claim, please, feel free to offer it. I'd suggest reading The Creature from Jekyll Island or any other number of books that highlight the origins and functions of the Fed.

Are you a Libertarian?

I'm frightened by the responses to this post.
I'm an advocate of civil liberty. I don't know what your interpretation of "libertarian" is, so I can't answer your question.

Yes i did skim the article, because, no offense, it was written terribly.
The conclusions drawn by the author of the book you recommended, is that money be created privatly, and in a 'free market'.

No offense taken, but it'd be nice to have some substance behind that :).
