White House condemns conviction of Iranian pastor. Describes Iran as barbaric.

Wait a minute, shouldn't CNN be defending the possible execution of this pastor based on "Finality of Judgment"?

Fucking liberals

Erm, this is silly. Troy Davis was convicted of a murder. Its very likley that he was innocent, and either way, he should not have been killed. This person in Iran is facing execution for beleif. To try and draw paralels is silly.

Im not defending the execution of Davis, I am against the death penalty full stop (even more so when it seems as if the condemned could be innocent), but to try and draw a parelel between the two situations just makes you look silly. Although both situations are horrible, a false conviction for murder leading to an execution isnt the same as execution for a thoughtcrime.

The capitalist media defends its own interests...not really surprising.

Blackandyellow,

I'm responding from my phone right now so I'm unable to check out your posts to see how you think. Going off your name and your apparent inability to recognize that Troy Davis was murdered because he was black, I'm assuming you're an anarcho capitalist. If I'm mistaken, forgive me, because I consider it a grave insult - much worse than silliness - and so should you.

The parallel is that they are both innocent men, one sacrificed on the altar of the ruling ideology and the other probably will be sacrificed on the altar of the ruling ideology. What is different is that Iran hasn't yet executed this pastor.

im not an anarcho capitalist, please dont assume. I am neither an anarchist nor a capitalist. Just a Marxist.

Troy Davis was probably wrongfully executed, call it murder, call it whatever, i cant be bothered with this sort of American left wing hysteria.

One wonders what media in other countries - especially ones that don't like the US - said about Davis' execution...
