View Full Version : Had an epiphany!
A Revolutionary Tool

I was playing Fallout 3 and since I'm a good guy I try to make my gameplay reflect that. People ask me to go do annoying things and I accept even though I really don't want to, I'll go do things even though I might not get as many bottle caps as I would if I went the evil route.
But then today I was playing and some guy was asking me to go do some side mission that I really did not want to go do and I realized about halfway through this talk with him that I could just blow his fucking head off if I wanted to. So I told him he was a ugly feral zombie, pulled out the combat shotgun, and just let him have it. It felt so liberating so I slaughtered everybody that I saw next and they just happened to be a group of slaves and slaveholders arguing. Killed every single one of them it felt so good. Yeah so that was my epiphany and ever since then it has made things pretty enjoyable.

Just remember that video game life solutions do not always work in the real world:D.

Well...that only works if you do not want to complete the game 100% :) Also it makes you lose story line XP.

Sometimes it is important in life to not really give a fuck about anything.

Even the women and children!

Why do you get bad karma for expropriating wealth?

*sigh* a person could dream.

Especially the women and children! It's so much fun to kill the ones that have no means to fight back.

Funny, I've always played evil in games like that ever since KOTOR. Isn't it more beneficial to be the bad guy in those games anyway?

Fallout 3 annoys me in that I bought the expansion pack instead of the real game without owning the actual game the other day and it still irritates the fuck out of me. Though, I always play the evil role, it's indeed liberating to go upon the impulses I have everyday to do but in simulated virtual reality plus it just makes things easier. I will always go back after I complete the game though and be the good guy so I can beat the game 100%. I prefer to be evil though. I'm annoying as shit online, I will kill people for no reason and if they scream like babies on the headphones I will snipe them every 5 seconds no chance of moving until the match is up.

I'm actually a really good person in video games, unless it's someone who deserves it.

My characters in Fable always end up with big ass fucking horns. I regularly slaughter entire families to bring down the price of a house I'd like to buy.
EDIT: I've also sacrificed more than one spouse to the Dark Brotherhood or whatever it's called.

Lol that's so bourgeois slaughter families to bring down prices
Existential Angst.
If only I knew what that meant...
But I'm having this problem again in Bioshock 2, I've saved my game right before I have to decide what to do with my little sister and don't know what to do. Kill her or rescue her? What difference does it make anyway?

Yo, you know how big the housing bubble has gotten in Fable II?! I gotta work for like an hour at the Blacksmith Shop just to make enough money to buy a home for each one of my spouses before I sacrifice them to the Darkness!

Really? I was a badass in RDR, always robbing coaches, banks, kidnapping the pigs...

I was a badass, collecting bounties, saving people from hangings in the nick of time, shooting guns out of people's hands...
Besides, it's just weird when you're a deranged killer outside of the cutscenes and during the cutscenes you're the atoning ex-outlaw seeking redemption.
I tried evil John but it doesnt feel right.
Besides the perks to being to good guy are much better; better prices in stores, less people challenging you to a duel, that holy cross that makes it harder for enemies to shoot you. When you're evil they double the prices and you get the shitty "evil" horse.
I do fuck shit up in multiplayer though. But I'm not John in multiplayer, I'm Shadow Wolf.
