Currently my favourate is a song called "Life Becoming a Landslide" by the Manic Street Preachers: -
Childbirth tears upon her muscle
Very first second a screaming icon
Babies in time barely even recognise
Words that once stroked now bruising tired lips
My idea of love comes from
A childhood glimpse of pornography
Though there is no true love
Just a finely tuned jealousy
Life becoming a landslide
Ice freezing nature dead
Life becoming a landslide
I don't wanna be a man
Everyday more numb to agony
This the howl this the sigh of the lonely
One day I realise oil on canvas
Can never paint a petal so so delicate
My idea of love comes from
A childhood glimpse of pornography
Though there is no true love
Just a finely tuned jealousy
Life becoming a landslide
Ice freezing nature dead
Life becoming a landslide
I don't wanna be a man
Life becoming a landslide
Ice freezing nature dead
Life becoming a landslide
I don't wanna be a man
My idea of love comes from
A childhood glimpse of pornography
Though there is no true love
Just a finely tuned jealousy
Life becoming a landslide
A mile empty inside
Life becoming a landslide
Desire on its knees
Life becoming a landslide
A mile empty inside
Life becoming a landslide
Desire on its knees

Your favourite song, comrade.
What is your favourite song?
I have many.
Stairway to Heavan by Led Zeppelin
A few days ago I was listening to Child in Time by Deep Purple and thought "Damnit! This song rocks!" Then I was fascinated with the song for a while.
It's great with headphones on, by the way.

I see.
Well, right now, I'd say "Back Door Man," as performed by the Doors. But thats the mood i'm in.
I eat more chicken then any man ever seen, yeah, yeah.
I made a chart to categorize the doors heute. I am so proud of my stupidity.
See, 1 and 2 are opposites.
1 is just Pure Poetry (Ex: Horse Latitudes), and 2 is like Bawdy/Burlesque/Cocktail Music (People Are Strange)
3 and 4 are opposite, too.
3 is like Popular Music or stuff that connects (Love Her Madly) and 4 is Blues (The Cars Hiss By my window)
I know its stupid and crazy, because The Doors just "are," man
the circle represents a happy medium, seen?
These kinds of things are why they held me back in Preschool...

A while ago I was aslo into On the Turning Away by Pink Floyd and Dazed and Confused by Led Zeppelin. I still like both of those songs. Every once in a while, however, I will become temporarily fascinated with a particular song.

hey praxis, aren't you a songwriter?
I'm surprised that you wouldn't name at least one older tune.
Not so much because you're a songwriter, but because you're in your twenties.

I listen to a little of everything... 1920s Delta Blues (eg Lightning Hopkins), 1930s and 40s big band and Italian crooners ("Jumpin' at Woodside" by Count Basie and Duke Ellington; anything by Louis Prima), just about anything from the be-bop era of jazz (Miles Davis, Thelonius Monk, Charlie Parker, and Ornette Coleman to name a few)... I also like a lot of obvious stuff from the "classic rock" era of the 60s and 70s (Zepellin, The Rascals, The Cream, Derek and the Dominoes, The Beatles, Joplin, Crosby Stills & Nash, Dylan, Pink Floyd, Santana, etc)... I also have quite a bit of 80s new wave, reggae, and ethnic music in my collection (especially African tribal music, Celtic, aboriginal Australian, and Tibetan chant)...
The only reason I listed stuff that was released post-1990 was due to the fact that I read that the overwhelming majority of the members here were 17 years old. I didn't figure that most would recognize the bulk of what I'm interested in.
