"On September 25 at 5 pm, approximately 500 Bolivian police officers tear-gassed and used excessive force against camping indigenous protestors outside of Yucumo, in Beni Department. At least one child is reported dead and multiple wounded, although the Morales administration denies these reports. The violent police action presents the most dramatic example yet in a series of incidents that have acutely eroded Morales’s credibility ..."

It seems to me like an eco spin on a religious opposition to a road that could provide medicine and commerce to poor indigenous people. :( At least that's what I've gathered so far. Basically, I don't trust that source to not give a heavily biased report.

I'm guessing that it'll be something along the lines of those indigenous uncle toms had it coming, how dare they question the will of their legitimate anti-imperialist leaders :closedeyes:
