A Revolutionary Tool

I went to my library today and found this book There is Power in a Union: The Epic Story of Labor in America and decided to pick it up. Just wondering if anybody else has read it and if they thought it was any good.
Was also surprised to see The Coming Insurrection there and thought fuck it, why not, and checked that out too.

I bought it and read it within a week. Biggest waste of $35 ever. The book is extremely hostile to anarchists, the haymarket affair, and the IWW (he downplays their numbers). The book is a giant jerk-off to Walter Reuther and Samuel Gompers.
You'll still learn some interesting information on unions before the Civil War, but for being over 700 pages, man what a waste of time... The conclusion/ending is weak too.
If anything, it's still better to read it than not to, but I think you'll be able to pick apart his bias and bullshit pretty quickly.

The kindle version of the book is quite cheaper ($13 or so).So for those of you who have kindles and want to read it anyway that would be your best option price wise.
