In the vein of the Arab world protest newsfeed, the news from Nepal thread and other similar ones, I'd say it'd be a fairly good idea to have a a collective thread for reporting minor news, various news of little connection, etc, instead of creating new ones all the time. Hope you don't mind. :D
I got a quite a few news to report myself from today and yesterday, hope you don't mind.

Lastly, something I got from the Swedish news agency TT:
EU-parlamentet ger klartecken till ett handelsavtal mellan EU och den palestinska myndigheten. Om avtalet får klartecken av EU-länderna och den palestinska sidan, får jordbruksprodukter från områdena exporteras utan tull
For those of you who're lucky enough to not speak Swedish, the EU has given clearance for a trade agreement between the EU and the 'Palestinian authorities', making the export of Palestinian agricultural produce into the EU tariff-free.
There's of course tons of more news of greater or lesser importance and interest, but I can't be bothered at the moment.
