And from there another 2 or 3 minutes takes you to the Staten Island Ferry, also free.

The 3 largest museums in the City, the Museum of Natural History, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Brooklyn Museum all have a policy of admission by contribution. They suggest $18, but you can give them 1 penny if you like.

I was going to suggest going to the Wallstreet protest but you already have that down.

As for what else you could do not quite sure, never been there, the Native American museum sounds neat.

Find out as much as you can about the nature of the protest! Do a numbers estimate, interview some people, maybe do some agitation, and report back to us!

Please?

I'm kind of disappointed with the lack of detailed media reports getting out, and living on the west coast, it would be hard for me to get over there myself, so forgive my brashness.

As posters said above you can go to the many museums, or you can also visit Times Square at night, check out the zoos, etc.

If you do go to the protest, try not to get arrested! ;)
