Hello & Salams!
Been lurking on RevLeft for ages and decided to finally register & post. Like a lot of people who have posted introductions I haven't always been a 'leftist'. To be brutally honest I only consider myself left in a socially compassionate sort of way. I think my heart, my feelings, and my thoughts started drifting left after learning, researching, and coming to understand the problems facing what we in the west commonly refer to as the third world. I've got more sympathy & love in my heart than hatred & disdain so it was a natural progression I suppose. I'm a firm believer that through left leaning heart felt benevolence, charity, and yearning the world could be a much better place.
I'm a Muslim and my screen name 'Tafsir' is put into english loosely as "interpretation".
Anyways, that's it. Nice to be here and nice to finally start posting! I look forward to learning, engaging, and researching a lot of what's been posted here on the forum.
