Hi I'm Donovan.
I'm a college student registered as a Democrat in the United States.
But, I'm tired of the democrats and I decided I would become what is known as a "Democratic Socialist."
I'm still kind of confused as to what I want to be though, all I know is that I hate capitalism and fascism
I see a lot of marxists and anarchists here so this should be interesting :p I'm not sure I agree with anarchism or all that but maybe you all can convince me.

Welcome, Revleft is a great place to learn and ask questions, enjoy yourself so as long as you don't make any "Pro-America" remarks.;)

Welcome to Revleft! There are many definitions of democratic socialism, ranging from reformist (social democrat) to revolutionary ones.
I hope you end up on the revolutionary side of it. In the meanwhile, use the learning forum a lot and ask lots of questions.
Happy posting and congrats on your leftward shift. :)

Yup I have gotten really tired of the free trade Democrats.
I also got banned from Yahoo! Answers :tt2:
Perhaps its because I put the ☭ symbol after my name ;)

As far as your tendency goes, don't feel pressured into taking a position if you're not comfortable doing so. Furthermore, there's a lot of users who refuse to pigeonhole themselves and are strictly non-sectarian so there's always that if you find that appealing.
Just take your time, learn what you can, do some reading where you can, and you'll form your own positions at your own pace.
Welcome to Revleft!
