all the quotes are from "Dangers of Socialism."

"The death toll of the whole 20th century is basically [based on] a socialistic experiment. Nazism was socialistic, fascism was socialistic, communism was socialistic, and those three alone were [responsible] for the death toll into tens of millions."

David Noebel, author of understanding the times

"Government socialism manifestly does not work. If it did, the Soviet Union would have won the Cold War."

Steve Forbes

Answering whether the early church in Jerusalem, which had "all things in common," is an example of socialism.

"This is not Communism, this is not Socialism, this is Christianity..."

Kay Arthur

and so forth.

What dumb and trite quotes. It claims just because Fidel Castro once "gave a thumbs up" to Obama that Democrats are just evil bastards.

It completely ignores the whole entire history of The Democratic party. When Andrew Jackson was President in the early 1800's, he practiced federalism, local banking systems, local state autonomy, and generally put a lid on government interventions through is powers as president. Without Polk, a democratic president, we would never have the entire western half of America(one could argue the morality of seizing and from Mexico, but you get my point.)

Since WHEN did the Democratic party have anything to do with Socialism or Communism?

If anyone can give me a good reason why it did, please point me in the right direction. [sarcasm, but still it would be nice if you could point me there]

It also claims that Karl Marx was an evil monster!

again, care to point me in the right direction.

When they start talking like that, it means they're desperate to legitimize themselves.

I have not read the book and so can not comment directly. The best way to determine if Herr Doktor Marx was 'an evil monster' is to read his books. Be sure to get an authorized translation, by a publisher like Foreign Languages Publishing House, Foreign Language Press, International Publishing Company, etc.

Unauthorized translations (and who can read High Old German in the German alphabet?) tend to not match the authorized versions, usually in very suspect ways.

Note that people who demonize 'Socialism' (upper case 'S') rarely if ever want to talk about 'Imperialism' (meaning government by inheritance) and its death toll, and especially the fact that Empires, like the Empire of Russia, were socialist (lower case 's').
