Well if you didnt know, then your even less likley to know because the conservatives have given the silly bugger the kick.

He is... was the leader of the British conservative party until about one and a half hours ago. He was usless and the conservative MP's rebelled against him, and forced a party. He lost and now they are going to have to go through another leadership contest.

All good.

I can't say I expected that at all, I should imagine he is fairly shocked himself. Who could they possibly put into the leadership now?

Widdecombe, that loathsome creature was on tv today, it reminded me of the time she said Michael Howard had "something of the night about him"
Funny old *****, she'll be taking that back now - he's odds on. ooo they're sooo fucked...Bring back Maggie!

Only a cacophony of collected cock-ups could stop a third term for New? Labour now though who will lead them is less certain, you can practically see Brown drooling like a half mad vulture behind Tone at the despatch box these days...

The Conservatives have yet again had a leader change and this time he hasn't even faced election ... things do not look good for them. This is the Lib Dems best opportunity to make some real head way into the Conservative areas and create some form of effective opposition to the 'Labour' party.

I'm sure that the Conservatives will elect another nobody who will fail in the elections; the party members are a bunch of greying old thatcherites who have no idea of the present political system.

the real opposition the labour leaders should facec, that should concern us is from inside. Only inside the labour party can we oppose the bourgeoise in parliament, and eventually altogether

Damn you Enigma, I jsut started a topic in OI on this!

My mum reckons Portillo doesn't stand a chance, even if he puts his name down, because he doesn't have an English name and she reckons conservatives care about that.

I think that if I were a conservative I'd be kicking myself right now, IDS has earnt a lot of respect in the last few days, whether you like it or not.

he was also helpful, as far as the Lib Dems were concerned, because he made labour and the Conservative pretty damn similar. However now I expect the consrevative will become an even bigger shambles so the Lib dems may have a greater chance, who knows? Then again, who cares?
