Panda Tse Tung

It's time for a new game, since it has been a while (if Mods/Admins think it's better left in Chit-Chat please move this). I'm not so much into the whole complicated RP'ing, so i figured it would be more fun if most features would become player defined.
Anno 2011 (right now) a new island came out of nowhere in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, it's about half the size of Belgium. For some miraculous reason there are people living there who have little to no recollection of the past, all they have is their basic skills (work, language, etc...).
Total population - 55,000
Major villages:
Large village c/a 20,000 residents - relies on agriculture and fishing (is near the sea)
Median village c/a 17,000 residents - relies on agriculture and hunting/gathering
Small village c/a 12,000 residents - relies on agriculture and has a huge totem pole in it's centre
Most other people live in small hunter/gatherer community's throughout the land.
Religion - nothing defined jet, except that there is a huge totem pole in the small village which happens to be in the geographical centre of the island.
Location of the island:

Whatever happens from up here, is mostly player defined (how culture, and the parties develop. As long as one sticks to the set parameters). All i will do as a Game Master is introduce random (and not so random) events and challenges. Turns will be done on every weekly day i have time (so mostly tuesday and thursday).
If you wish to register type down your characters name; party affiliation (or whether you wish to remain non-alligned) and location. If you wish to do something 'secret' send me a PM (you all know the drill me thinks).
Players -
'Leftie' - Augustus Brown from Large village
'Astarte' - Donny MacMahon from small village.
'Sinred' - Orjan Perotti from large village
'TheGodlessUtopian' - Irvin Rockland from a tiny village
Edit: i'll give a small example. Say you start in the small village. Then you can preach to your fellow villagers that the island is one giant turtle. The start of a religion...
