Sure,

Venezuela is not a socialist country although it does lean very much to the left. The current president in is Hugo Chavez. You can consider him very patriotic to his country and his people. Some say that he is evil and leans so far to the left that he my plan to slowly convert Venezuela into a socialist country. The conditions of that country are like most Latin American countrys'. A lot of people are poor in Venezuela even though it is rich in oil. Around 45 % live below the poverty line. Relationship with the Venezuelan government and the Cuban government are very high but relationships with the U$ are very bad. So there's some info on it. I don't know that much either about Venezuela although I have been reading more about it.

What people must remember, is that Chavez, like the Revolutionarys in Mexico (Zapata, Villa and Zapatistas), look at what is happening in there own communitys, and don't necceceraly need to be Marxists / Socialists, to have these left wing leanings!
The 'Bolivarian', sentiments of Chavez literaly mean those points set by the Independence fighters of the early nineteenth centuary, who promisted to eradicate poverty and inequality!

Mr. Chavez is a very compassionate leader and I highly doubt that 30% of the people that made his popularity level plummet were millionaire capitalists
i highly doubt that those statistics are even correct
he likes to say that he is not Chavez, but rather the Venezuelan people itself, which may not be very far from the truth
the people seem to love him and the only real reason I could see as a reason for his popularity decline is the sacrifice of some personal liberties for the safety of his country
with all these coups taking place, I couldnt blame the man for being concerned with the safety of his own people

Hugo Chavez was also temporarily removed with the help of the CIA in April of 2002 for two days, the shortest regime change, but the interim president did abiolish that government within that time. Venezuela reportedly now has a secret video tape of CIA agents traing the Venezuelan opposotion to do such a coup. He also recently cancelled a trip to NY to speak at the UN because of high fears that his plane would be attacked by U.S. forces.

It's just crazy to think about it for me anyways cause im only 18.

You know there Arbenz in Guatemala.

Allende, in Chile.

and a host of others.

Arbenz was in 1953.

This shit just happend last year.

In 50 fuckin years nothing has changed. Its sad.

America is long overdue for antoher revolution.
